“How To Have that Difficult Conversation You’ve Been Avoiding”

January 11, 2012 by Edwin Crozier Leave a Comment

Last week was New Year’s and many of us resolved to watch less tv, read more books. Whether or not that’s the case for you, if you only have one book that you have time to read this year…well, of course, make it the Bible. But if you have time to read two books this year, I’d like to make a recommendation: How to Have That Difficult Conversation You’ve Been Avoiding by Drs. Cloud and Townsend.

Check out the video review by clicking the link below.

What Churches Can Learn from 12-Step Groups

November 16, 2011 by Edwin Crozier 6 Comments

The more I’ve worked with addicts and dealt with my own sins, the more I’ve realized that most churches are falling short in a very important area–freedom from sin. Oh, don’t get me wrong. Most churches teach freedom from sin. Most command freedom from sin. But very few are helping people become free from sin. 5 Questions to Make Every Bible Class Zing

October 25, 2011 by Edwin Crozier 6 Comments

What is the difference between a Bible class that zings and one that flops? Do you ever get to the end of a Bible class session or even an entire quarter and think, “Well, that was a waste of time, but at least its over”? Your classes don’t have to be like this. They can take a step up whether you are writing your own material or using someone else’s, whether you are teaching kids or adults, whether you are a beginning teacher or experienced. Let me show you how.

Why False Teachers Need to be Exposed

October 24, 2011 by Edwin Crozier Leave a Comment

There’s a lot of nonsense parading about as Christianity these days. But when you speak out against it, some folks play the tolerance card claiming it does no harm and we need to just let people be. However, the following video, while being completely hilarious to me, demonstrates exactly how dangerous it can be to let some people prance about as representatives of Christianity in general.

Is There Too Much Hand Sanitizer in Church?

August 22, 2011 by Edwin Crozier Leave a Comment

No doubt, most churches are doing their dead level best to make their guests feel at home. Perhaps sometimes we make mistakes while trying to do that. Tim Hawkins highlights a big mistake. Check it out and then let’s discuss the best way to make guests feel at home.

Don’t Be Limited by What Everyone Else Has Always Done

August 17, 2011 by Edwin Crozier Leave a Comment

If you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you’ve always got. At the same time, if you always do what everyone else does, you’ll always get what everyone else gets. But sometimes, just sometimes, when you step out of the mold, stare down the critics, and do things a little differently, you just might take home the gold.
