That is what I would call over-the-top mothering. She said "we don't know how to balance our lives at 18" but sadly if mom always balances their child's life then they won't know how to balance it at 24 or 36 either. And woe to the daughter-in-law!!!
Yeah, I imagine we could balance our lives by 18 if our parents teach us how instead of trying to do it for us.
